Activity Based Learning
Activity based learning is a crucial part of the children's learning in foundation stage. The are different areas of play: outdoor play in our new outdoor area, big play and structured play. Structured play takes place every morning. The children are learning to be independent by choosing where they would like to play and deciding which art materials they would like to use. Play is based around the topic which the children are learning that term. In year 1 we have 5 topics: A Time to Rhyme, In the Toybox, Brrrr it's Freezing, Yum Yum and Off We Go.
