Welcome to Mrs Stuart's class Page
We have reached the end of Term 1, and what a busy time we’ve had in Year 5. We have been celebrating Christmas with lots of fun events in school. Look at our pictures and videos.
We are all looking forward to continuing the good work in Term 2. Our WAU theme will be Up, Up and Away. We will be exploring different modes of flight and learning about birds and migration.
In Literacy, we will be doing Recount and Explanation Writing, so keep tuned to see some of our work throughout the Term. In grammar, we will be looking at conjunctions, prefixes, speech marks, prepositions, synonyms and plurals.
In Numeracy we will be continuing to learn a range of mental strategies and use them to calculate and problem solve. Our topics include; Data Handling, Measures, including time and perimeter.
